After a break from taking photos of the Sandia Mountains, I looked from my front yard yesterday and saw interesting cloud-on-mountain interactions. Deciding it could be a good day for photos, I loaded my classic Canon 5D into my F150 to get it and me a little exercise. Unfortunately, when I got to where I wanted to take photos, dark clouds to the west blocked out the sun on the mountain. Still, I took a few photos of the clouds on the mountain, then it started raining and clouds completely filled the valley. Looking west, a break in the clouds made it look like the sun could break through to the mountain before the sunset. So, I sat in the truck for a while hoping the sun would shine and the clouds leave the valley. Here you can see what happened.
