The photos in this set mostly lack any descriptions or location information. From the number of ships at sea shown in these photos and since a couple of photos show Dad and others in a landing craft that had to be landing at Normandy plus other photos showing the destruction of Germany fortification at Normandy, I characterize this set as showing D-Day and the period following. At the end this photo set are a few photos showing captured German POWs. I assume these photos are from France, with the large group of POWs in the final three photos being moved through the streets of (maybe) Paris, perhaps at the end of the war … but that is just a guess due the casual nature of those watching from curbside.
